Harris County is pleased to present our new web site.

• Our domain name has been changed to harriscountytx.gov to make it easier to remember and to find in searches.
• Our look and feel has been redesigned for better accessibility and navigation.
• The content has been categorized to better assist the users of specific content.
• The County Judge and each of the Commissioners have convenient links to their respective web sites.

Contents are categorized into the following groups: Residents, Government, Business, Visitors, Online Services, and ‘How Do I’.

	Content has been conveniently organized in categories to allow for easy location of services and content related to being a resident of Harris County. Some of the categories include County Holidays, Local Information, Schools, and Traffic & Transportation.
	Contains various links to Harris County government agencies and departments. Some important links in this group include the County Judge and Harris County’s Commissioners, Harris County Courts, and a Directory link that contains a list of all Harris County agencies.
	This group contains various links to information related to business and service entities within Harris County. Included in this group are Purchasing, District and County Clerk, Justice Information Management Systems, and Greater Houston Partnership.
	To assist visitors to Harris County, a Visitors section has been added to the new web site. Links to information related to sports and entertainment, museums, the zoo, schools, and medical are found in this group.
	Harris County provides a multitude of services online. Online services include our Service Request application, property tax information, traffic ticket payments, and rescheduling jury service.
	Contains links to answers of often-asked questions such as how to register to vote, protest property appraisal, apply for a job with Harris County, and find a park in Harris County.
