Enterprise Business Solutions

The Enterprise Business Solutions team enables the business processes of Harris County agencies through the efficient and effective use of information technology. To accomplish this mission, Enterprise Business Solutions:

·         Designs, develops, implements and maintains high-quality, user-friendly software applications that align with business needs

·         Provides high-quality continuous support for software applications with a strong focus on customer service

·         Partners with Harris County agencies in a way that maintains and builds strong working relationships

·         Provides recommendations regarding cost-effective automation opportunities

·         Maintains currency of technology and vendor solutions in a way that minimizes costs and increases application availability and asset life

Enterprise Managed Services

The Enterprise Managed Services team provides enterprise class connectivity, infrastructure, architecture design, database support services, and advanced telecom solutions for all Harris County departments, and non-county agencies that we collaborate with.  Through a variety of delivery models that include Managed Services, Shared Services, and Co-Location Services, our goal is to provide the best possible design, configuration, testing, deployment, support, and monitoring solutions to ensure the highest availability of each component being implemented.  The sections in Enterprise Managed Services consist of Networking, Distributed Systems, Database Administration, Enterprise Architecture, Communications Operations and Mainframe Systems.

Enterprise Support Services

The Enterprise Support Services asserts a commitment to solving customer’s challenges by providing the highest standard of technical assistance with thorough analysis, design and technical support to Harris County employees and constituents.  The Enterprise Support Services Team is sensitive to the overall county strategy and quickly adapts to customers changing needs.   The Enterprise Support Services Team’s goal is to isolate and resolve every technical issue in an expeditious and professional manner.

Mobility Regional Radio Center

The Mobility Regional Radio Center provides public safety personnel and emergency responders with a secure and robust mobile broadband communications network to enhance their ability to effectively communicate across all agencies and through all phases of emergency incidents. In addition, the Harris County Mobility Regional Radio Center supports the Harris County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and stands ready to implement disaster recovery procedures as required.
