Community Based Mediation Program:
Mediators must have completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 40 Classroom Hour Basic Mediation Training in compliance with Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code, Sec. 154.052 and meeting or exceeding the guidelines set forth by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.
Litigation Program:
Mediators must have completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 40 Classroom Hour Basic Mediation Training in compliance with Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code, Sec. 154.052 and meeting or exceeding the guidelines set forth by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.
All mediators in this program are also required to possess a JD and have been practicing law in the State of Texas for a minimum of five years. They must be in good standing with the State Bar of Texas.
Family Mediation Program:
Mediators must have completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 40 Classroom Hour Basic Mediation Training in compliance with Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code, Sec. 154.052 and meeting or exceeding the guidelines set forth by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.
Mediators must also have completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 24 Classroom Hour Basic Mediation Training in compliance with Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code, Sec. 154.052 and meeting or exceeding the guidelines set forth by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.
All mediators in this program are also required to possess a JD, or, if they plan to co-mediate with an attorney-mediator, an advanced degree in the field of mental health.
Children's Protective Services Mediation Program:
Mediators must have completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 40 Classroom Hour Basic Mediation Training in compliance with Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code, Sec. 154.052 and meeting or exceeding the guidelines set forth by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.
Mediators must also have completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 24 Classroom Hour Family Mediation Training in compliance with Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code, Sec. 154.052 and meeting or exceeding the guidelines set forth by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.
Additionally, mediators must have completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 14 Classroom Hour CPS Mediation Training.
All mediators in this program are required to possess a JD or an advanced degree in the field of mental health
Truancy Mediation Program:
Mediators must have completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 40 Classroom Hour Basic Mediation Training in compliance with Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code, Sec. 154.052 and meeting or exceeding the guidelines set forth by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.
Juvenile/Victim Offender Mediation Program:
Mediators must have completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 40 Classroom Hour Basic Mediation Training in compliance with Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code, Sec. 154.052 and meeting or exceeding the guidelines set forth by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.
Mediators must have also completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 16 Classroom Hour Juvenile/Victim Offender Mediation Training.
Victim Offender Restitution Mediation Program:
Mediators must have completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 40 Classroom Hour Basic Mediation Training in compliance with Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code, Sec. 154.052 and meeting or exceeding the guidelines set forth by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.
Mediators must have also completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 16 Classroom Hour Juvenile/Victim Offender Mediation Training.
Special Education Mediation Program:
Mediators must have completed a Dispute Resolution Center (or Dispute Resolution Center approved) 40 Classroom Hour Basic Mediation Training in compliance with Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code, Sec. 154.052 and meeting or exceeding the guidelines set forth by the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.
Mediators in this program must also be familiar with Texas Education Agency (TEA) and local special education policies and procedures.
