Community Development Block Grant Program Recovery Funds
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) was signed into law by President Obama on February 17, 2009. As part of the Recovery Act, $1 billion was appropriated to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds to states and local governments. As part of the overall appropriation, Harris County will receive $2,919,475. To receive the allocation, Harris County must submit a Substantial Amendment (Amendment) to its PY2008 Annual Action Plan (Action Plan) that outlines the activities for Harris County’s CDBG Recovery (CDBG-R) funds.
Harris County will post and make available for comment the Amendment to the Action Plan and any subsequent amendments to the program.
