Constable Phil Sandlin |

On June 1, 2011, Phil Sandlin was sworn in as the new Constable for Harris County, Precinct 8. Constable Sandlin was appointed by Harris County Commissioner's Court to fill the unexpired term of outgoing Constable Bill Bailey upon his retirement.
Phil Sandlin started his career with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in 1990 before joining Precinct 8 in 1992. Beginning his tenure with the Department as a Patrol Deputy and then a Corporal, he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 1996 where he served as a patrol supervisor. In 2001, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in command of the Patrol, Toll Road, and Warrant Divisions before being promoted to Captain in 2004. In 2005, he was appointed Chief Deputy for Precinct 8.
Over the course of his 23 year career in law enforcement, Constable Sandlin has been proud to serve the citizens of this community and volunteers much of his time to area civic groups and organizations. He takes his oath of public service seriously and is honored to be leading this agency forward. |
