Gary L. Freeman: Graduated from S.P. Waltrip Sr. High School, in Houston Texas Attended San Jacinto College and Lamar University ( majored in Criminal Justice ). Graduated from Harris County Sheriff's Academy 1973 Constable Freeman served and was Honorably Discharged from the United States Air Force Reserves Holds a Masters Peace Officers Certification Worked for the City of Galena Park Police Department for approximately 18 years. Attained the rank of sergeant, Acting Assistant Chief and Acting Chief and was attached to the Harris County Organized Crime Unit on several occasions in those 18 years. Was elected November 1988, Constable Harris County Precinct 2, and holds that position to this date. Constable Freeman has doubled the size of Precinct 2 and has changed it from a 9 to 5 five day a week operation to a 24 hour 7 day a week operation. He has started a full time School Truancy Program, and instituted many other community related programs within Precinct 2. Constable Freeman is married to Mary Freeman, and they have 3 daughters, 1 son, and 5 grandchildren. He lives in Galena Park and is active in many community programs and organizations. Constable Freeman is also a Past President of the Justice Of the Peace and Constables Association of Texas and is very involved in the training of Constables and Justice's of the Peace.
