A variety of training programs are available to assist employees with job relevant tasks and activities, to contribute to interpersonal skills associated with performing work, to enhance career development and to manage the challenges of work and personal life. Additional programs for supervisors and managers enhance skills necessary for excellent on the job performance and to prepare others for supervisory positions are an integral piece of the training program. Both employee and supervisor/manager courses are supplemented with a diverse and extensive library of resource materials to check out and utilize as needed. HRRM Training uses online registration procedures provided and supported by the Information Technology Center (ITC). This registration system enables Harris County employees to access training schedules and register online for classes listed by HRRM or ITC at one central website. Employees who don’t have web access should contact their supervisor for help in accessing the online registration system. Supervisors may contact the registrar of the appropriate department for additional help.
**As always, if an employee cannot attend for which she or he registered, please contact our office to cancel or schedule a substitute. Supervisors will be notified of those employees who registered but did not attend or did not cancel.
