JOB TITLE:                  Operator II

 

DEPARTMENT:            Harris County Precinct One

Trail Maintenance Department 

 

HOURS:                       40 Hours per Week/Flexible

Monday - Friday

 

SALARY:                     Starting $11.50 per Hour

Based on 26 Pay Periods

 

EDUCATION:  High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE: One (1) year experience in grounds maintenance and operating mowing equipment is preferred. 

 

JOB SKILLS:  A safe driving record and valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Class B is required. Good knowledge of tools, asphalt construction and maintenance materials, equipment, and procedures required to perform tasks; ability to follow written and oral instructions; ability to work well with others.  Must possess skills to operate tractor, mowing and other power equipment.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:  Follow written and oral instructions.  Participate in construction, maintenance and upkeep of grounds, paths and facilities along hike-and-bike trails and other areas assigned and supervised by the Trail Maintenance Manager.  Handle paint and other chemicals.  Drive tractors and heavy equipment.  Perform related work as assigned.
